Just to make it clear, I don't actually believe I'm gorgeous so this is not about narcissism. This is actually a project of sorts... (AND IT'S CHEAPER THAN THERAPY!) Seriously,
I thought if I can find ONE REASON TO BE THANKFUL every single day and do it for ONE WHOLE YEAR then, I may be on the road to happiness.
After a separation, the pressure of single-motherhood, a struggling career and massive bills that kept piling up, it seemed that I fell in a hole of self-pity.
That is, until my little girl told me I'm gorgeous.
Ok, she may just be trying to cheer me up. But for a second, the fear and the pain melted into this gooey mush of niceness.
From then on, i promised not to be negative... (and if I sound like it sometimes, please stop me!)
Tales from the Bright Side
and other inane reasons to be happy.

Was rummaging through old pfotos when I saw these. At left, myself as a flowergirl at 3 years old. At right, Sandra at 2.
